Assignment Overview

We are seeking a Gastroenterologist for a comprehensive assignment involving clinic, office days, and 24-hour weekend call. This role requires proficiency in ERCP and a commitment to high-quality inpatient and outpatient care.

  • Start Date: May 2026 (Ongoing)
  • Schedule Structure:
    • Weekday Clinic + Night Call: 8-hour shift (7:30 AM–3:30 PM or 7:40 AM–3:40 PM) followed by night call starting at 5:00 PM.
    • Office Days: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch).
    • Weekend Call: 24-hour coverage.
  • Compensation Notes: * 8 hours guaranteed per day.
    • OT applies after 9 hours per day (requires manager pre-approval).

Clinical Requirements

  • Procedures: ERCP is required. Standard procedures typically range from 30–60 minutes.
  • Fluoroscopy: Active Fluoroscopy permit is required. Candidates with a Temporary Fluoroscopy permit will be considered, provided they obtain a permanent permit within one year.
  • Experience: Must show 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in Gastroenterology. Case logs must be included with the presentation.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Licensure: Active California (CA) State License and DEA.
  • Certification: Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) within 5 years of residency.
  • Work History: Any gaps in practice greater than 3 months must be explained.

Onboarding & Credentialing

  • Timeline: Several months (Privileging begins only after RFA and application are returned).
  • RFA Turnaround: Expected within 48–72 hours.
  • Application: Must be submitted within 5 days of RFA.

  1. Provider Availability: Clearly list available dates from May 2026 onward.
  2. Case Logs: Current procedural case logs.
  3. Fluoroscopy Status: Note if the permit is permanent or if the provider requires a temporary permit.
