Are you a dedicated Gastroenterologist seeking flexible, impactful work in a collaborative outpatient setting? We are looking for a highly skilled, board-eligible or board-certified physician to provide exceptional gastroenterology services at the Henry Ford Jackson Outpatient Digestive Health Center. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver comprehensive GI care, including colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, and advanced procedures, in a supportive environment with no night or weekend call responsibilities.
Position Overview:
As a Locum Gastroenterologist, you will join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality outpatient digestive health services. Working scheduled days on Mondays and Fridays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, you will have the flexibility to focus on patient care without the stress of on-call duties. Your expertise will contribute directly to closing recruitment gaps and ensuring uninterrupted, top-tier care for our community. The practice utilizes EPIC EMR, supporting efficient documentation and patient management.

Required Skills:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with Board Eligible or Board Certification in Gastroenterology
- Valid state medical license or the ability to obtain one for Michigan
- Proven proficiency in colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCP, and advanced GI procedures
- Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently within a team-oriented environment
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with outpatient gastroenterology practices
- Knowledge of EPIC EMR system
- Prior locum or temporary staffing experience
- Bilingual abilities in Spanish or other languages
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Completion of an accredited residency and fellowship in Gastroenterology
- Minimum 2 years of clinical practice experience post-training
- Prior involvement in outpatient GI clinics or hospital-based settings
Other Requirements:
- Local provider preferred; mileage reimbursement available
- Credentialing process estimated at 90-120 days
- Must be compliant with all licensure and certification requirements
- Willingness to travel occasionally for training or meetings, if applicable
