Locums | Gastroenterology | Clinic + Call | Tucson, AZ Why This Role

  • Temp privileges available for fast deployment
Assignment Details Dates: 12/24/2025 – ongoing Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8a–12p onsite Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours plus call Call: Follows onsite hours; beeper call Call Response Time: 30 minutes Call Back: approximately 20 percent Patients Seen: 5–20 per shift Admissions: 2–10 Practice Setting: Inpatient plus outpatient Daily Procedures: 5–10 GI procedures in the hospital setting Patient Volume: 10–20 per shift Rounding: Assigned patients EMR: Cerner Temporary Privileges: Available, next-day possible Clinical Details Upper GI endoscopy including biopsy, foreign body removal, bleeder fulguration, variceal injection PEG placement Small bowel biopsy Flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy Colonoscopy with biopsy and polypectomy Diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP required Sengstaken/Blakemore tube management preferred Requirements Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology Active Arizona license and AZ DEA ACLS and BLS Clean background required No supervision of APPs No teaching responsibilities Compensation Rates: Facility is accepting bids Malpractice: Provided Travel: Reimbursed
