Locums – Lakewood, Colorado, GI Hospitalist (IMLC Accepted)

Overview: Join a Level I Trauma center in Lakewood as a GI Hospitalist covering inpatient consults. This locums role offers a dynamic schedule, exposure to complex cases, and the chance to work in a well-supported environment with experienced intensivists and hospitalists. ERCP and EUS skills are required, and local or drive-in candidates are highly preferred.

Assignment Details: • Start Date: ASAP for a 12-month assignment • 24-hour call coverage (7:00am–7:00am) • 5–7 shifts per month, ongoing into 2025 • Inpatient only; adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients (pediatric trauma minimum: 15 yrs / 50 kg)

Clinical Responsibilities: • Perform consults for GI conditions, GI bleeding, and endoscopic procedures • Perform ERCP, EUS, and endoscopies (mandatory) • Collaborate with 24/7 intensivists, hospitalists, and trauma services • Manage patient care within established protocols

Volume & Support: • 8–10 new consults and follow-ups daily • 5–8 endoscopic procedures per day • No dedicated support staff; providers expected to work independently • EMR: Epic

Qualifications: • Board Certified Gastroenterology – Required • Active Colorado license or IMLC (LOQ in hand) – Required • Active DEA – Required • Gastroenterology Fellowship – Required
