Is seeking a dedicated Gastroenterology Physician to provide locum coverage following a planned retirement. This is a rewarding opportunity to step into a well-established inpatient program, support an experienced GI team, and deliver high-quality care where it truly matters.
🩺 Practice Highlights
- 🏥 Inpatient-focused role with floor, ED, ICU, and emergent GI consults
- 📟 Call rotation approx. 1:4 (Friday 4 PM – Friday 4 PM) with overnight beeper call
- 👥 Join a collaborative group of 4 physicians
- 📊 Average 4–12 hospital-based patients per day
- 💻 Epic EMR for streamlined documentation
- 🧪 Onsite lab and X-ray services available
🔬 Clinical Scope
- Comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy
- Procedures include colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, liver biopsy, PEG placement, variceal banding, bleeding control, and more
- ERCP/EUS not required (ERCP certification is a plus, not mandatory)
✅ Requirements
- Board Certified / Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Active Massachusetts medical license
- BLS certification
