Position Overview:
A leading hospital in Jackson, Michigan, is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist with ERCP proficiency to provide locum tenens coverage in a hospital-based setting. This role offers a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no nights, weekends, or call, allowing for a balanced workload in a supportive clinical environment.
You will join a collaborative GI team supported by advanced practitioners and full onsite services, including imaging and laboratory facilities.
Location: Jackson, Michigan
Schedule & Coverage:
- Days: Mondays and Fridays
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Call: None Clinic Hours only (No night or weekend call)
Clinical Details:
- Setting: Outpatient Digestive Health Centre
- Volume: Office/Clinic: 30-minute colonoscopies, 30-minute EGDs, 60-minute doubles, Hospital-based: 14 patients per day
- Duties: Endoscopy coverage and inpatient consults during scheduled hours
- EMR: Epic
- Procedures: ERCP required
- Group Size: 4 physicians plus locums
- Trauma Level: Level 2
Candidate Requirements:
- Board Certified – Required
- ERCP proficiency – Required
- ACLS BLS Certification – Required
- Active Michigan Medical License – Required
- Local Candidate (driving distance) – Preferred
- Experience: Fellowship-trained in Gastroenterology
