🏥 Practice Scope
- Adult inpatient gastroenterology care
- Floor, ED, ICU consults, and emergent endoscopies as needed
- Average daily inpatient census: 4–12 patients
- No outpatient clinic expectations at this time
- Onsite lab and imaging support
- EMR: EPIC
⏰ Schedule
- Approximately 1 week per month
- Call rotation about 1:4
- Coverage includes weekday and weekend call responsibilities
- Beeper call overnight with callback as needed
🩺 Procedures
- Colonoscopy & Sigmoidoscopy
- Upper GI Endoscopy (diagnostic & therapeutic)
- Biopsy
- Foreign body removal
- Variceal banding and injection
- Fulguration of bleeding
- PEG placement
- Esophageal dilation and manometry
- Liver biopsy
- Small bowel biopsy
✅ Requirements
- Board Certified Gastroenterology
- Active Massachusetts medical license
- BLS certification
- Strong inpatient GI and endoscopy experience
