Gastroenterologist (ERCP Required)

Position Overview:

A leading hospital in northern Michigan is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist with ERCP proficiency to provide locum tenens coverage in a hospital-based setting. This role offers a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no nights, weekends, or call, allowing for a balanced workload in a supportive clinical environment.

You will join a collaborative GI team supported by advanced practitioners and full onsite services, including imaging and laboratory facilities.

Location: Petoskey, Michigan

Schedule & Coverage:

• Days: Monday – Friday
• Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Call: None (24-hour call starting from 01/22/2025)

Clinical Details:

• Setting: Hospital-based (inpatient & outpatient endoscopy)
• Volume:18 outpatient and ~20 inpatient scopes per day
• Duties: Endoscopy coverage and inpatient consults during scheduled hours
• Support Team: 2 physicians, 2 APPs, and full ancillary services
• EMR: Cerner
• Procedures: ERCP required

• Board Certified – Required
• ERCP proficiency – Required
• ACLS Certification – Required
• Active Michigan Medical License & CSR – Required
• DEA – Verbal confirmation required at name clear
• COVID-19 Vaccination – Required
• Local Candidate (driving distance) – Preferred
• IMLC Licensees: Must have ≥60 days before start and provide LOQ
• Experience: Fellowship completed with 2–3 years of post-training experience
