Locum Gastroenterology Provider

Seeking a GI provider to provide inpatient and outpatient endoscopy coverage starting ASAP. The provider will perform ERCPs and other endoscopic procedures, as well as manage consults, in a hospital-based clinic setting.

Schedule

• Days: Monday–Friday

• Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (varies slightly by date)

• 1/5/2026 – 1/8/2026

• 1/22/2026 – 1/31/2026

• 2/1/2026 – 2/5/2026

• 2/12/2026 – 2/19/2026

• 2/26/2026 – 3/4/2026

Practice Details

• Setting: Hospital-based GI clinic

• Procedures: ERCP required

• Volume: ~18 outpatient scopes/day; ~20 inpatient scopes/day

• Support Staff: 2 physicians, 2 APPs, full onsite services including lab and X-ray

• EMR: Cerner

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ERCP and other endoscopic procedures

• Provide endoscopy coverage and consults during scheduled hours

• Coordinate care with onsite support staff and hospital services

Submission Requirements

• Board Certified – Required

• Active Michigan license & CSR – Required

• ACLS – Required

• Local candidates only (driving in) – Required

• Completed Fellowship with 2–3 years minimum experience – Required

• ERCP experience – Required

• Clean background (malpractice minimum acceptable) – Required

• COVID vaccination – Required

• DEA – verbal confirmation at name clear – Required

• IMLC candidates must provide LOQ and availability 60+ days out

Certifications / Health Requirements

• Hep B, MMR, Varicella (vaccine series or titer)

• Flu (current season)

• COVID documentation

• TB within 12 months

• TDAP (adult, within last 10 years)
