Coverage: Call only
Coverage Type: Inpatient
EMR: Epic
Bed In Department: 12 beds
Patient Per Shift: 0-6
Key Details:
- Upper GI Endoscopy with Biopsy, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser) required
- Diagnostic and Therapeutic with PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) required
- Esophageal dilatation/manometry required
- Esophageal manometry interpretation required
- Small Bowel biopsy required
- Lower GI endoscopy required
- Sigmoidoscopy (Flexible) required
- Colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyp required
- Liver biopsy required
Requirements:
- Board Status: Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Active MO State License
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Other Details:
We do not need strictly weekend coverage. Additionally, the hours should reflect 7a-7a ERCP & EUS are not required for the hospital ED/ call and clinic call.
All of the dates listed need coverage, not just weekends: (We will likely need some locum coverage through the end of 2026.)
