Assignment Overview:
- Setting: Hospital call (Sat/Sun) + Adult Hospital/Clinic
- Start: January – June 2026 (multiple open weekends)
- Call: 24-hour beeper call (Fri 5 PM – Mon 7 AM)
- Trauma Level: None
- EMR: Epic
- Clinical Areas: Adult GI, Hospital, Internal Medicine, Outpatient GI
Open Weekend Dates (Flexible Scheduling):
- January: 30–Feb 2
- February: 6–9, 13–16, 20–23, 27–Mar 2
- March: 13–16, 20–23, 27–30
- April: 3–6, 10–13, 24–27
- May: 8–11, 15–18, 22–26, 29–Jun 1
- June: 5–8, 19–22
Pick one weekend or take multiple blocks depending on your availability.
Required Procedures:
- ERCP – Required
- EUS – Preferred
- Colonoscopy, EGD, Small Bowel Biopsy
- Liver Biopsy
- Esophageal Dilatation/Manometry + Interpretation
- Variceal banding, cautery, foreign body removal
- PEG placement
- Management of Sengstaken/Blakemore Tube
- Full Upper & Lower GI Endoscopy capabilities
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Active VA license (required)
- Flu shot required; COVID vaccine highly preferred
- Must be available for at least one open shift
Compensation & Travel:
24-hour call flat rate (includes callbacks) : $4000 per day
