Job description

Job description Short-term GI locum assignment covering endoscopy and consults Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 4:30pm with no nights, weekends, or call. The role includes outpatient and inpatient scopes at a hospital-based GI unit. Open dates include 12/19/2025, 1/5/2026, and 1/8/2026. Provider must be local (driving), board certified, ACLS certified, fully licensed in MI with CSR, and have 2–3 years post-fellowship experience. ERCP is required. EMR is Cerner.

Job Responsibilities

Perform ERCP and standard GI procedures, complete 18 outpatient and 20 inpatient scopes daily, cover endoscopy and GI consults during scheduled hours, document in Cerner EMR, and collaborate with onsite physicians, APPs, and hospital services.

Qualifications

Board Certified GI physician with ACLS, active Michigan license and CSR, clean background, minimum 2–3 years of experience post-fellowship, COVID vaccinated, DEA confirmation required at name clear, and must be a local provider. IMLC accepted only for dates 60+ days out with LOQ.

Working Hours

Monday–Friday, 7:00am to 4:30pm, no nights, no weekends, no call. Orientation required at half hourly rate.

Skills

Strong endoscopy skills including ERCP, high-volume scope capability, clinical decision-making in GI consults, proficiency with Cerner EMR, and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
