Position Overview
One of our Partners, in WA is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist to provide 24-hour hospital call coverage including inpatient rounding, consultations, and procedures.
The day rate includes up to 6 hours of patient contact per 24-hour shift, with additional compensation for callback and overtime hours. This is a high-volume role within an established, collaborative GI practice at a leading regional hospital in the Vancouver/Portland metro area.
Pay Ranking: Top 10% of 2025 national market rates for Gastroenterology locum tenens physicians.

Schedule: 24-hour call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM next day)

Skills & Experience

Board Certified in Gastroenterology

Active Washington medical license or IMLC eligibility

Proficient in Colonoscopy, EGD, and ERCP

Minimum 100 lifetime ERCP procedures, with at least 40 within past 24 months

Must provide 100-patient case log (past 24 months) representative of current practice

BLS (AHA or ARC) required

Job Responsibilities

Provide 24-hour GI call coverage for hospital and clinic

Perform EGD, colonoscopy, and ERCP procedures

Conduct rounding, consults, and admissions as needed

Manage urgent GI consults from the ED or inpatient teams

Collaborate with APPs and nursing staff for coordinated patient care

Complete timely documentation within EPIC
