🔍 About the Role
A Texas inpatient facility is seeking a Gastroenterologist with ERCP capabilities to cover inpatient consults, procedures, and ER consult-driven cases.
No outpatient work—100% in-house.
🩺 Typical Cases Include:
• GI bleeds
• Abdominal pain
• SBO
• Food bolus
• Gastritis / ulceration
• Carcinoma diagnosis (no treatment)
• Standard GI procedures + ERCP required
👥 Support:
Endoscopy-trained GI nursing staff & anesthesia backup (conscious sedation preferred).
💰 Updated Pay Rates (per your request):
✨ 24-Hour On-Call: $3120 per day
✨ Call-Back: $440 per hour
🗓️ Available Dates (2026):
• 2/22 AM – 2/23 AM
• 3/9 AM – 3/13 AM
• 3/21 AM – 3/23 AM
• 8/31 AM – 9/1 AM
• 11/2 AM – 11/3 AM
• 11/8 AM – 11/9 AM
✅ Requirements
✔️ Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
✔️ Active Texas Medical License
✔️ ACLS Certification
✔️ Clean malpractice history strongly preferred
✔️ GI Residency
✔️ ERCP capability required
✔️ Provider’s availability required at time of name clear

📊 Patient Load: Up to 10 patients/day + procedures as needed
🏥 Admissions: Handled by hospital team—not the locum
💻 EMR: Paragon (transitioning to EPIC later in 2026)
⚠️ Deal Breakers: Excessive malpractice suits, disciplinary actions
