Job Title: Locum - Physician - Gastroenterology
Join a dedicated healthcare team in a leading facility located in the charming city of Lexington, Kentucky. This position offers the opportunity to work in an inpatient hospital setting, providing essential care in gastroenterology. Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient coverage and rounding for gastroenterology patients.
- Perform a range of gastroenterology procedures, including ERCP (highly preferred) and typical endoscopies.
- Participate in inpatient decision-making and consultations.
- Respond to emergency department calls and manage relevant cases.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including 3 dedicated inpatient APPs.
- Manage admissions and patient care with an average of 10-20 patients per day.
- Utilize Epic for electronic medical records.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
- Active Kentucky Medical License.
- Experience with ERCP is highly preferred.
- ACLS and DEA certifications are required.
- Clean malpractice record is mandatory.
- Availability for immediate start upon name clearance.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Gastroenterology (Required).
- Kentucky Medical License (Required).
- ERCP experience (Highly Preferred).
- Current certifications in ACLS and DEA (Required).
- Clean Malpractice history (Required).
