Job Title: Locum Physician - Gastroenterology

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide weekend coverage in gastroenterology, including hospital call on Saturdays and Sundays.
• Perform a variety of procedures, including esophageal dilatation, manometry, colonoscopy, and endoscopic ultrasound.
• Manage and interpret esophageal manometry and small bowel biopsy results.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care in adult hospital and clinic settings.
• Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and data management.
• Address patient needs with confidence and a focus on their well-being.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology (Required)
• Valid Virginia medical license (Required)
• Flu vaccination (Required)
• COVID vaccination (Highly Preferred)
• Clean malpractice history for temporary privileges (Required)
• Experience in ERCP required; EUS experience preferred
• Availability to cover open shifts (Required)

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certification in Gastroenterology
• Current Virginia medical license
• Compliance with Virginia's medical malpractice coverage requirements
