Locum Gastroenterology Physician Opportunity (Maine)
A healthcare system in Maine is seeking a Locum Gastroenterology Physician to provide coverage across multiple scheduled date blocks in 2026. This role includes endoscopy, inpatient consults, and clinic coverage, supported by a full anesthesia team and modern endoscopy services.
Schedule & Required Availability
Provider must be available for all of the following date blocks:

Daily Schedule:
-
Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–4 p.m.

No weekends
-
No call
-
Daytime inpatient consults as needed
Position Details

Endoscopy procedures performed in the OR
-
Approx. 1 clinic day/week (14–16 patients/day)

Adults only
-
Full OR support staff
-
Onsite lab and X-ray
-
EMR: Epic
-
ERCP not required
-
Advanced procedure experience preferred but not required

Travel covered
-
Credentialing timeframe: ~90 days

Lower GI Endoscopy:

Sigmoidoscopy
-
Colonoscopy
Upper GI Endoscopy:

Diagnostic
-
With biopsy
-
Foreign body removal
-
Banding of varices
General therapeutic capabilities preferred but not required.
