A leading healthcare system in Iowa is seeking an Inpatient Gastroenterology Physician for a Locum-to-Permopportunity beginning October 2025 and continuing on an ongoing basis. This role offers comprehensive hospital-based GI coverage with a strong expectation of procedural skill and interest in a permanent position.
Position Overview

Schedule: 24-hour call, 7 a.m. – 7 a.m.

Patient Population: Adults only

EMR: Cerner
Role Responsibilities

Hospital-based GI coverage
-
Perform ERCP (required)
-
EUS highly preferred
-
Perform 3–4 outpatient procedures per day
-
Inpatient procedures and consults
Provider Qualifications
-
Must be actively seeking Locum-to-Perm opportunities (Required)
-
Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible within 3 years of residency (Required)

Active IA license or IMLC (Required)
-
ACLS certification (Required)
-
Comfortable with full inpatient GI responsibilities (Required)

ERCP required
-
EUS highly preferred

COVID vaccination required

Clean malpractice and background history (Required)

Willing to sign a perm-interest attestation form (required)
