Job description
Weekend locum Gastroenterologist needed to provide hospital call coverage and outpatient GI support. Position includes adult inpatient consults, procedures, and clinic needs with Epic EMR and full diagnostic support on-site.
Job Responsibilities
Manage adult inpatient GI consults
Perform GI procedures (endoscopy, ERCP, EUS preferred)
Support outpatient gastroenterology as needed
Interpret diagnostic tests (manometry, biopsies, etc.)
Document encounters in Epic EMR
Collaborate with hospital staff and care teams
Qualifications
Active Virginia license – Required
ERCP proficiency – Required
EUS experience – Preferred
Clean malpractice history for temp privileges – Required
Flu shot required; COVID vaccination highly preferred
Working Hours
Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
