Locums | Gastroenterology | Clinic + Call | Stevens Point, WI Why This Role

  • Full GI service line with both clinic and procedural volume
  • Weekday schedule with no weekends
  • Multiple weeks open through 2026 with flexibility for ongoing blocks
Assignment Details Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call Schedule: Monday–Friday Clinic and procedures Mon–Tue; Wed–Fri primarily procedures Clinic shifts are 8 hours (lunch deducted) Friday may be half-day procedures depending on suite availability Call available one day per week if desired No weekends Practice Setting: Outpatient and inpatient Admissions Required: Yes Patients Per Shift: 15 Rounding: Assigned patients Trauma Level: 3 EMR: Epic Available Dates: Jan 12–23, Feb 2–13, Mar 9–27, additional weeks through 2026 Nearest Airport: Central Wisconsin Airport Clinical Details Procedures: Upper endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, cautery, variceal injection Small bowel biopsy Lower endoscopy, colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision Sigmoidoscopy preferred EUS preferred Liver biopsy preferred Sengstaken/Blakemore tube management preferred Call expectations: Beeper call, 30-minute response Phone consults: 0–2 Admissions: 0–1 Patients seen on call: 0–1 Requirements Board Eligible or Board Certified BLS No state license requirement listed Supervision of APPs: No Temporary privileges available Compensation Rates: Facility is accepting bids Malpractice: Provided Travel: Reimbursed
