Work exclusively inside the hospital managing GI consults, rounding, and procedures — no outpatient clinic work. Job Responsibilities
• Provide inpatient GI coverage and ER consults
• Perform endoscopies, colonoscopies, and ERCP
• Round on up to ~10 patients/day
• Manage GI emergencies & abdominal pathology
• Collaborate with endoscopy-trained nursing staff
• Work with Anesthesia team; conscious sedation preferred
Qualifications
• Gastroenterology Fellowship & Residency — required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• Active TX medical license — required
• ACLS — required
• Clean malpractice strongly preferred
• ERCP experience — required
Working Hours
• 24-hour inpatient call (7am–7am)
• Weekends required
• Multiple shift blocks available throughout 2026

• Proficiency in GI procedures & ERCP
• Strong inpatient clinical decision-making
• Ability to interpret GI diagnostics
• Calm and confident in emergency situations
• Clear communication and documentation
