Inpatient GI - Flexible Monthly Block Coverage in Massachusetts
Practice Setting
- Inpatient coverage at an adult acute care facility.
- Handle Floor, Emergency Department (ED), and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) consults.
- Onsite Lab and X-Ray support available.
Schedule
- Block scheduling available: Commit to only 7 shifts (1 week) per month.
- 24-Hour Call is required during your weekly assignment block.
- Call structure is approximately 1:4 with coverage from Friday 4pm to Friday 4pm.
- Carry Beeper overnight for emergent needs.
Procedures and Cases
- General Gastroenterology procedures are required.
- Procedures include Esophageal Dilatation/Manometry and Interpretation.
- Perform Small Bowel Biopsy, Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy, and Lower GI Endoscopy.
- Required to perform Liver Biopsy.
Requirements
- Must be a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterology Physician.
- Active Massachusetts State Medical License is required.
- Must hold a Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Credentialing Requirements
- Anticipate an approximately 60-day credentialing timeframe.
