- April: 4/5 – 4/13
- May: 5/4 – 5/18
- June: 6/1 – 6/15
- July: 7/1 – 7/13
- August: 8/1 – 8/3, 8/10 – 8/15
- September: 9/1 – 9/8, 9/21 – 9/26
- October: 10/11 – 10/16
- November: 11/8 – 11/9, 11/22 – 11/23
- December: 12/7 – 12/11, 12/14 – 12/21
You can cover single blocks or multiple—flexible scheduling available.
🔬 Clinical Expectations
- Daily rounding: Up to ~10 inpatients
- Procedures: Endoscopies, colonoscopies, ERCP (required)
- Cases include:
Abdominal pain, GI bleeds, SBO, food bolus, gastritis, ulceration, suspected malignancies (diagnosis only) - Emergent procedures possible
- Anesthesia backup available
👥 Support & Workflow
- Endoscopy-trained GI nursing staff
- Hospitalists handle admissions
- Smooth coordination with ER & inpatient teams
- EMR: Currently Paragon; transitioning to EPIC later in 2026
✅ Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Active Texas License (Required)
- GI Fellowship Training (Required)
- ACLS Certification (Required)
- Clean malpractice history strongly preferred
- Availability for selected 2026 dates
