Job description
Seeking a Gastroenterologist for 24-hour call coverage, including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency GI procedures. Provider must be fully proficient in ERCP and advanced endoscopic interventions.
Job Responsibilities
Perform required GI procedures including ERCP, EUS, colonoscopy, upper/lower endoscopy, esophageal dilatation/manometry, liver biopsy, PEG, and related interventions.
Manage inpatient GI consults and weekend call cases.
Support outpatient GI and internal medicine needs as required.
Document care using EPIC EMR.
Collaborate with hospital staff and maintain high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
Active Virginia medical license – REQUIRED
Must be fully proficient in ERCP – NO EXCEPTIONS
Flu vaccine – REQUIRED
COVID vaccine – HIGHLY PREFERRED
Clean malpractice background for temporary privileges – REQUIRED
Must be available for open call dates to be considered
Malpractice minimum coverage must meet VA state cap requirements (2.6M)
Working Hours
Required open dates:
Dec 24 (12 PM) – Dec 29 (7 AM)
Dec 31 (12 PM) – Jan 5 (7 AM)
Skills
