24hr Inpatient GI Call Coverage is needed in Richmond, VA - Locums/1099 Opportunity offering competitive compensation, medical malpractice coverage, and paid travel!

Open dates:
  • 12/24 at 12:00p – 12/29 7a
  • 12/31 12:00p - 01/05 7a

  • Clinical Areas: Adult, Hospital, Office/Clinic
  • 300-bed Hospital
  • Level III Trauma Center
  • EMR: Epic
Required Procedure/Duties:
  • Esophageal Dilatation/Manometry
  • Esophageal Manometry Interpretation
  • Small Bowel Biopsy
  • Lower GI Endoscopy
  • Sigmoidoscopy
  • Colonoscopy
  • Liver Biopsy
  • Insertion/Management of Sengstaken/Blakemore Tube
  • Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
  • Upper GI Endoscopy: with Biopsy, with Foreign Body Removal, with Fulguration of Bleeder (Cautery vs. Laser), with Injection of Varices, with Banding of Varices, with ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography), Diagnostic, Therapeutic, with PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy)
  • On average 8 procedures per weekend: GSI, Hepatology, RGA, Surgery, Colon, Egd, ERCP

Qualifications

Must have active VA License, Fellowship Training/Board Certification in Gastroenterology and ERCP Capability. Additional requirements include ACLS certification, a clean history, and up to date vaccinations, including Flu, Covid, etc.
