Job Opportunity: Locum Gastroenterology Physician in Rockport, ME

We are seeking a qualified Locum Gastroenterology Physician to join a dynamic team in a well-regarded medical facility in Rockport, Maine. Job Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology services.
• Perform required procedures including Lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy.
• Conduct therapeutic procedures, with advanced procedures preferred but not mandatory.
• Manage 14-16 patients per day in the clinic setting.
• Engage in day-time on-call responsibilities with a schedule built around patient needs.
• Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure a smooth patient experience.
• Utilize an electronic medical record system (Epic) for patient documentation.
• Participate in inpatient consultations as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology (ABMS or AOA) - [REQUIRED]
• Active Maine medical license or active IMLC license - [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
• Availability for specified coverage dates - [REQUIRED]
• Ability to work full-time hours - [REQUIRED]
• Current ACLS and BLS certification - [REQUIRED]
• Comfort with performing advanced procedures - [REQUIRED]
• COVID and flu vaccinations - [REQUIRED]

License and Certification Requirements:

• Current and active medical license in the state of Maine.
• Board Certification in Gastroenterology.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
