An exciting locum opportunity for a skilled Gastroenterologist to provide inpatient & outpatient coverage in beautiful Rockport, ME. Enjoy a Monday–Friday schedule, supportive staff, full travel coverage, and no weekend or overnight call!
Job Responsibilities
• Perform GI procedures including colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and upper endoscopy
• Handle inpatient consults & urgent day-call procedures (food bolus, bleeding, EGD, etc.)
• Provide clinic and endoscopy coverage
• Collaborate with CRNA & Anesthesiologist team
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation
Qualifications
• Board Certified in Gastroenterology (ABMS or AOA)
• Active ME license or IMLC LOQ (preferred)
• ACLS & BLS required
• Must be available for listed date blocks
• Ability to work at least 1 week/month into 2026
• COVID & Flu vaccinated
Working Hours
Monday–Friday
8-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
No weekends, no overnight call
Skills
• GI endoscopy proficiency
• Strong inpatient consult experience
• Ability to manage urgent GI procedures
• Comfortable with high patient volume
