Seeking a Locum Gastroenterology Physician to cover the open dates listed below!
Schedule:
Schedule:
- M-F, 8 hour day with 30 min lunch
- No Overtime, unless preapproved.
- Inpatient cases required. Locum will be on day call (7am-4pm) and they may get calls from either the Emergency Room or a Hospitalist with questions and possible urgent procedures (I.E Food Bolus and may need EGD or bleeding and may need to ask questions on treatment). There will be call blocks built into the schedule to allow these patients to be added to schedule. There are days that you do not receive any calls and others that you will.

Details:
- Endo procedures in the OR and maybe one day per week in the clinic.
- Adults outpatient (office/clinic)
- Support staff: Full staff in the OR
- No weekends, No Call
- Looking for someone to do scopes
- 14-16 patients per day in clinic
- Onsite lab and xray
- EMR: Epic
- ERCP not required
- Prefers a provider who does advanced procedures, but is able to utilize someone who does not.
- Willing to pay for full travel
- Credentialing timeframe: 90 days
- What kind of anesthesia support do physicians have? Both CRNA and an Anesthesiologist per Gastroenterologist
- What kind of therapeutic procedures do they need? Do not need to do advanced procedures.
- Is the anesthesia provided by a physician or a CRNA anesthesiologist? We always have an anesthesiologist in the procedure room along with a CRNA.
- This position does not require call. Requested coverage is M-F 7a-4p.
- Clinic and Endo coverage. No Call
- Locums may need to do inpatient consults during the day
- Lowers GI Endoscopy
- Sigmoidoscopy
- Colonoscopy
Required types of upper GI endoscopy:
- with Biopsy
- with Foreign Body Removal
- with Banding of Varices
- Diagnostic
Additional required procedures:
- Would like a provider that does do Therapeutic procedures but will accept general
- Flight - No first-class flights.
- Hotel - $200/night lodging cap after taxes and fees
- Rental Car - Standard rental car (no premium/SUV, etc. rentals).
- Mileage Billed at the IRS Standard Rate
Submission Requirements
- Board Certified Gastroenterology - [REQUIRED] ABMS or AOA
- Institutional ADR - [HIGHLY PREFERRED] - Requested at time of Name Clear (All gender ADR should be 35% or greater)
- Active ME license or Active IMLC LOQ - [HIGHLY PREFERRED] (but will review licensing candidates of high quality)
- Provider must be available for the specific dates listed above - [REQUIRED]
- Must be available full time and long term - [REQUIRED]
- ACLS, BLS - [REQUIRED]
- Does the candidate perform advanced procedures? If so, what types of advanced procedures? - [REQUIRED] - note at name clear.
- COVID and flu vaccine - [REQUIRED] note at time of name clear
- Provider must be available to work at least one week per month for the remainder of the year, and into 2026 - [REQUIRED]
