Locums | Gastroenterology | Clinic + Call | York, PA (IMLC accepted) Why This Role

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient gastroenterology coverage, including both procedural and consult responsibilities
  • Collaborate with an established GI team in a well-equipped, high-acuity hospital setting
  • Ongoing locums opportunity with flexible scheduling and strong administrative support
Assignment Details Start Date: 12/1/2025 End Date: 6/30/2026 Coverage Type: Clinic + Call Setting: Inpatient Schedule: Regular scheduled hours with call coverage Call Type: Beeper, 30-minute response time Trauma Level: I EMR: Epic Temporary Privileges: Available Credentialing Timeframe: 90–120 days Requirements Board Certified in Gastroenterology Active Pennsylvania license or IMLC ACLS and BLS certifications Ability to perform and interpret upper and lower GI endoscopic procedures No hospital admissions required Clinical Details Procedures: - Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, variceal injection, foreign body removal, bleeder fulguration) - PEG tube placement - Esophageal dilatation and small bowel biopsy - Sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid) - Colonoscopy (with biopsy and polypectomy) - ERCP preferred but not required Patient Mix: Assigned inpatient rounding and procedural cases Compensation Rates: Facility is accepting bids Malpractice: Provided Travel: Reimbursed
