Locums | Gastroenterologist | Call Only | Oklahoma City, OK (IMLC accepted) Why This Role

  • Support a high-volume GI service in a Level I trauma environment.
  • Provide interventional coverage with a focus on advanced procedures in a collaborative hospital team.
  • Flexible call-only scheduling—ideal for experienced proceduralists seeking predictable rotation blocks.
Assignment Details Coverage Type: Call Only Setting: Inpatient Start Date: January 12, 2026 End Date: Ongoing Schedule: 1–2 weeks per month; 12-hour hospital days (8a–8p) plus 12-hour call (8p–8a) Average Volume: 15–20 patients per day, 5 procedures per day Night Calls: 0–10 per night, 1–3 callbacks per week Support: 1 APP Beds: 239 EMR: Epic Reason for Need: Extra volume coverage Clinical Details Hospital proceduralist and call coverage only Required procedures: ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic), PEG, upper GI endoscopy with biopsy and cautery, variceal injection, EUS, liver biopsy, and management of Blakemore tube Preference for providers completing at least 200 therapeutic ERCPs, 40 sphincterotomies, and 10 stent placements in the past 12 months Credentialing timeframe: ~60 days Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology Completed ACGME or AOA-accredited fellowship in Gastroenterology with interventional/ERCP training Active Oklahoma license or IMLC ACLS certification Comfort supervising APPs Clean background and current competency in required procedures Compensation Rates: Facility is accepting bids Malpractice: Included Travel: Reimbursed
