Seeking 2 weeks per month of GI Clinic + Endo-Suite Coverage Starting March 2026 + Ongoing
Jackson and Coker is partnered with a facility in central Virginia that needs Gastroenterology locum tenens coverage in their clinic + outpatient Endo-suite starting in March 2026 + ongoing. The facility is willing to piece the schedule together with 2-3 GIs if needed, however, would ideally fill the schedule with 2 GIs each working 2 weeks per month.
Coverage Need:
- Monday-Friday outpatient clinic + outpatient endoscopy suite coverage only
Specific Weeks Open in 2026:
--March 2–6
--March 9–13
--March 30–April 3
--April 6–10
--April 27–May 1
--May 4–8
--May 25-29
Description/Requirements for Assignment #112259:
* Active & unrestricted Virginia license required (also willing to consider candidates with an active Maryland or D.C. Medical License)
* 200+ bed facility, not a designated trauma center
* 8-hour clinic shifts + 8-hour scope days Monday - Friday
* No night call/weekend call or inpatient rounding required
* Clinic volume: 18 - 20 PPD (will have an APP to work with you in clinic)
* Scope volume: a minimum of 12 scopes/day
* ERCP/EUS opportunity available - not required however,
* Clinic + endo-suite are both located on campus of main hospital
* GI will have APP support in the clinic + endo suite
* Full anesthesia support in the endo-suite, flip room dynamic
* Credentialing takes between 45-60 days, MediTech EMR
