Position Summary
The facility is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist to join its expanding specialty care team in Hilton Head, South Carolina .
This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to practice comprehensive gastroenterology with a focus on quality care, efficiency, and patient satisfaction. The role includes outpatient consultations, endoscopic procedures, and inpatient consultative services. The incoming physician will benefit from strong administrative support, modern equipment, and an established referral base from the surrounding primary care network.

Essential Position Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with gastrointestinal and hepatic disorders.
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopy and upper endoscopy.
Provide inpatient consultations and outpatient follow-up care as needed.
Collaborate with referring physicians, surgeons, and advanced practice providers to ensure coordinated, multidisciplinary care.
Participate in the development of treatment protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Educate patients about preventive care, dietary modifications, and long-term management of GI conditions.
Qualifications
Education:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Licensure & Certification:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology; eligible for South Carolina medical licensure.
Experience:
Prior clinical experience preferred;
new fellowship graduates are welcome to apply.
