Top academic hospital in Brooklyn looking for a Gastroenterology with a focus on hospitalist/consult service coverage and a heavy focus on teaching fellows. This is an employed position with a base salary + RVU bonus, CME money and standard hospital benefits including malpractice coverage.

Job Function:
- Department currently has seven general GIs who report into Chair of GI.
- Program has therapeutic endoscopists, 2 hepatologists that rotate from Northwell and NYU, a GI motility program and a large pediatric IBD program that provides referrals.
- Expect schedule to be equivalent of 4 days/8 sessions clinical and 1 day/2 sessions towards administrative time.
- Join one other GI hospitalist and cover consults from 700 bed hospital, work with fellows (2 in program) on a daily basis, participate in regular conferences and can build in time for some outpatient work/procedures.
- Weeknight call 1:7 5pm-9am carry pager (uncommon to come in) weekend call 6-7 times a year, round in morning then go home.
- Involvement in teaching and academics required, have two fellows in program so want this person very engaged in teaching.
- Faculty appointment through local medical school.
Job Requirements:
- Fellowship training in GI - specialization in IBD, Motility can be considered.
- NY License required.
- Board Certification required.
- New Graduates completing their training in the next 12 months encouraged to apply.
