Position Overview

Ghost RX is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist (Internal Medicine with a Subspecialty in Gastroenterology) to provide onsite clinical services to eligible veterans at the Department of Veterans Affairs Finger Lakes Health Care System. Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive Gastroenterology clinical services including consultations, diagnostic evaluations, and therapeutic interventions.

  • Be present and on time for all scheduled clinics and procedures.

  • Perform the full range of endoscopic procedures, including but not limited to:

    • Colonoscopy (diagnostic, with biopsy, polyp/tumor removal, ablation, bleeding control)

    • Colonoscopy via colostomy

    • EGD (Esophagogastroduodenoscopy) – diagnostic, with biopsy, dilation, bleeding control, and lesion/polyp removal

    • Flexible Sigmoidoscopy with biopsy, snare, ablation, or bleeding control

    • PEG tube replacement

Qualifications

  • Unrestricted medical license in the United States

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine with a Subspecialty in Gastroenterology (ABIM)

  • Current DEA License

  • Current BLS and ACLS Certifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in gastroenterology practice preferred

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

  • Standard clinic schedule: Five 8-hour shifts per week (flexible scheduling options may be available)
