Job description

Lead and develop a comprehensive, academic-style Gastroenterology division aligned with organizational strategic goals

Build and expand advanced GI services, including complex endoscopic procedures and full-spectrum inpatient and outpatient care

Recruit, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of GI hospitalists, faculty, fellows, and support staff
-
Provide expert clinical care and consultation for complex GI cases

Drive collaboration with cancer care, surgery, and internal medicine teams
-
Strengthen academic partnerships and research initiatives
-
Ensure reliable access to endoscopic block time and manage strong referral volumes from day one

Engage in workforce development, training, and community outreach to improve care access and reduce disparities
Qualifications
-
Board Certification in Gastroenterology – Required

Active and unrestricted New Jersey Medical License or willingness to obtain prior to start – Required

Valid BLS, ACLS, DEA, and CSR/CDS certifications (or ability to obtain before start) – Required

Proven experience in program development, medical directorship, or division leadership – Preferred

Must be an experienced Gastroenterologist (no new graduates)
