LOCUM Gastroenterologist *135799: Central, Pennsylvania
Specialty (IP/OP): GI - Inpatient and outpatient; locums must be comfortable with and willing to do both.
Dates/Schedule:
3/2-3/6 8 am - 5 pm
3/16-3/20 8 am - 5 pm
3/30-4/3 8 am - 5 pm
5/4-5/8 8 am - 5 pm
6/1-6/5 8 am - 5 pm
6/8-6/12 8 am - 5 pm
7/13-7/17 8 am - 5 pm
7/20-7/24 8 am - 5 pm
7/27-7/31 8 am - 5 pm
Work Schedule: M-F 8 AM - 5 PM
Call Schedule: Runs from Friday 5 PM to Friday 5 PM and includes the weekend. Call is shared with 2 other GI groups in the community. This includes a call to the ED during the day.
Patient Volume: Inpatient: average of 12-15 per day. Outpatient: average 8-10 in a half day or roughly 15 in a full day. New patients usually have 1-hour visits; established patients typically take 30 minutes.
Staffing Mix: 2 physicians, 2 PAs and 1 NP, 5 LPN/MAs, 1 registrar, 1 RN coordinator; the APPs cover the outpatient clinic mostly.
Certifications/License Requirements:
BC or truly BE (BE is within 2 years of residency)
PA license or IMLC. Must be 100% comfortable with scoping (endoscopy/colonoscopy - all scopes are done in hospital)
BC in gastroenterology only (through either ABIM or AOA), not BC in surgery
Credentialing Info: 60-90 days
