A well-established medical center is seeking a dedicated and board-certified Gastroenterologist for an inpatient locum-to-perm opportunity. The role focuses on providing high-quality care to adult patients through endoscopic and consultative services. This position offers a balanced schedule, professional support, and the potential for permanent placement.
Job Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including upper and lower GI endoscopies.
Carry a beeper overnight during the on-call period (approx. 1:4 rotation).
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC EMR.
Qualifications
Active Massachusetts Medical License (required).
BLS Certification (required).
ERCP Certification (preferred but not required).
Prior inpatient experience strongly preferred.
Working Hours
Expected start: Mid-December 2025.
Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 45 days.
Skills
Proficient in diagnostic and therapeutic gastroenterology care.
Strong interpersonal and clinical decision-making abilities.
Skilled in using EPIC EMR and hospital-based technology systems.
