Chief of Gastroenterology Opening in Atlantic City, NJ Seeking an experienced and visionary Chief of Gastroenterology to build and lead a forward-thinking GI division. As Chief of Gastroenterology, you will: * Lead the design and launch of a cutting-edge GI program aligned with system-wide strategic transformation goals * Build an academic GI division with a focus on research, teaching, and advanced clinical care * Expand GI services, including advanced endoscopy, inpatient and outpatient care * Recruit, train, and mentor a multidisciplinary team: GI hospitalists, faculty, fellows, and clinical staff * Provide hands-on care and leadership for complex GI cases * Collaborate with oncology and surgical teams, leveraging partnerships with top institutions * Ensure access to consistent endoscopy block time and a strong referral base * Engage underserved populations and promote health equity * Shape GI care delivery across multiple counties in the region Schedule & Support * Full-time leadership role with clinical and administrative duties * Manageable 1:4 call rotation, supported by hospitalists and APPs * Dedicated support team including experienced APPs and clinical staff Candidate Requirements * Board Certified in Gastroenterology * Active New Jersey medical license (or ability to obtain) * BLS, ACLS, DEA, and CSR/CDS certifications (or ability to obtain before start) * COVID and flu vaccination compliance * Leadership experience preferred (e.g., Chief, Director, or program-building background) * Must be an experienced gastroenterologist Compensation & Benefits * $100,000 Sign-on Bonus * Competitive base salary with RVU-based incentives * Guaranteed income during initial program development phase * Full malpractice coverage with tail * Relocation assistance provided * Retirement plans: 403(b) and 457(b) with employer contributions * Generous PTO, NJ sick leave, and CME allowance * Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability insurance * Short- and Long-term disability * Tuition reimbursement and CME support * Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) * Wellness programs, including pet insurance * Leadership development support and organizational resources
