Shift Description: Fri 4PM-Fri 4PM
• Board Certified/Board Eligible - [REQUIRED] BC preferred
• ACTIVE MA LICSENSE - [REQUIRED]
• No outpatient expectations
• BLS - [REQUIRED]
• ERCP certification is a nice to have but not a must
Practice Setting: Inpatient --
Call Structure approx 1:4 //Fri 4pm-Fri 4pm//Floor/ED/ICU/emergent consults and endoscopies (when needed) --Carry Beeper overnight--Outpatient-TBD and will know more early next week
Reason for Coverage: Retirement
Dates of Coverage: Start mid Dec 2025 until we find perm placement physician
Clinical Areas: Adult, Hospital, Gastro, endoscopy
Onsite Lab? Yes
Onsite X-Ray? Yes
Will Outpatient Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine be Required? No
Average Number of Office/Clinic Patients Per Locum Per Day: unknown at this time if outpt coverage is required-will amend as soon as i know
Average Number of Hospital Based Patients Per Locum Per Day: 4-12 per day

Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: Start in mid to late December

• Esophageal Dilatation/Manometry
• Esophageal Manometry Interpretation
• Small Bowel Biopsy
• Lower GI Endoscopy
• Sigmoidoscopy
• Colonoscopy
• Liver Biopsy
Required Types of Upper GI Endoscopy:
• with Biopsy
• with Foreign Body Removal
• with Fulguration of Bleeder (Cautery vs. Laser)
• with Injection of Varices
• with Banding of Varices
• Diagnostic
• Therapeutic
• with PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy)
