ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking an inpatient-only Gastroenterologist with ERCP capability for scheduled coverage gaps in 2025 and 2026 in a facility in Deep East Texas. The role focuses exclusively on hospital consults and procedures—no outpatient responsibilities—with patient and procedural volume varying daily.

Job Details & Responsibilities

Facility Type: Acute care hospital

Patient Volume: Up to 10 inpatient rounds/day + procedures as needed

Procedures Required:

Endoscopies
-
Colonoscopies

ERCP (Required)

Types of Cases: GI bleed, SBO, food bolus, ulceration, gastritis, abdominal pain, carcinoma diagnosis (no treatment)

Admissions: Managed by hospitalists (not the GI provider)

EMR: Paragon (transitioning to EPIC in late 2026)

Support: Endoscopy-trained GI nursing staff; anesthesia backup available (conscious sedation preferred)
Required Skills & Qualifications

Board Certified in Gastroenterology – Highly Preferred

Board Eligible – Accepted
-
ERCP Proficiency – Required

Texas Medical License – Required

ACLS Certification – Required

Completed Gastroenterology Residency – Required

Malpractice History: Clean malpractice and medical board record – Highly Preferred

Availability: Must specify how many weeks/month you can provide coverage
