Job description
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join a well-established, physician-led medical group in Lakeland, Florida. This is a 100% outpatient opportunity offering high autonomy, partnership potential, and no required inpatient call.
The incoming physician will join a collaborative and efficient team dedicated to patient-centered care and supported by robust infrastructure, including Epic EMR, Olympus scopes, in-house labs, and a full radiology suite.

Base Salary: $525,000+ with incentive bonus

Productivity Bonus: 25% on net income exceeding $1,050,000

Relocation Assistance: $10,000–$15,000

$1,000/month (12-month forgiveness)

Job Responsibilities
Perform endoscopic procedures, including EGD, colonoscopy, and other diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with EMR (Epic).
Collaborate with referring physicians and interdisciplinary staff to optimize patient outcomes.
Participate in quality improvement and clinical protocol development initiatives.
Option to perform advanced GI procedures (ERCP, EUS, Barrett’s therapy, luminal stenting) if desired.
Maintain compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
Active (or ability to obtain) Florida medical license and DEA registration.
Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology Fellowship.
Strong procedural competence in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Working Hours
Schedule: Outpatient clinic, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (flexible).
Procedure Days: 2–4 full days or combination of clinic/procedure.
Patient Volume: 20–25 clinic visits per day; 20–30 scopes on full procedure days.
Call: No hospital or ER call; after-hours clinic call only (triaged through answering service).
Skills
Preferred procedural experience with ERCP, EUS, Barrett’s therapy, and luminal stents (not required).
Proficiency with Epic EMR and endoscopy reporting software (ProVation).
Knowledge of Olympus endoscopic systems, C-Arm, and Erbe devices.
Strong patient education and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
