Coverage Need Details :
Must have a IL License and board certified in GI.
Must be available a minimum of 5 consecutive shifts per month, but they would like more if possible.
Description: General GI- care of acute and chronic GI conditions, new patient access, endoscopies, hospital consults. Expect median productivity. Group will work with the locum physician on call expectations- prefer as much call coverage as possible, open to multiple candidates. Patient admits and rounding.
Needing outpatient support & ambulatory scopes
At a minimum we need that coverage on outpatient side. Our locums to date have been carrying more of a balance between ambulatory/inpatient/ED. That remains preferred model.

for a 5 day week we see 3 days in the clinic and 2 days in the endoscopy suite. It is monitored anesthesia and typically limit to 12 scopes/day. As far as number of patients in the clinic- this is negotiable to allow for time to see inpatient consults- so open to their input on this.
Monitored anesthesia or only moderate sedation?
Proportion Clinic /scope time. They do Full Anesthesia (Propofol) for cases or Moderate Sedation (Versed and Fentanyl).
do you require ERCP/EUS?
Ercp/eus not a requirement
