Gastroenterology opening – Orange County, CA City: Fullerton, CA Start date: As soon as possible Position Details

  • FT, permanent position
  • Reason for Coverage: Vacancy ‚Äì long-term permanent search
  • Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours + call
  • Practice Setting: Outpatient and inpatient
  • Patients per Shift: ~12
  • Admissions: Not required
  • Call: Beeper, 1:6 ratio, 20‚Äì30 min response time
  • EMR: Epic
Requirements Board Certified or Eligible in Gastroenterology Fellowship trained (will consider fellows within 1 year of residency) ACLS and BLS required Active California license preferred; will consider unlicensed candidates with strong ties to California/Orange County Credentialing: ~90 days (no temporary privileges) Support Staff 2 Medical Assistants 3.5 APPs 5 office staff Clinical Skills Required: - Upper GI endoscopy (biopsy, foreign body removal, cautery/laser, varices injection) - PEG placement - Esophageal dilation/manometry - Small bowel biopsy - Sigmoidoscopy (flexible; rigid preferred) - Colonoscopy (biopsy, polypectomy) - Sengstaken/Blakemore tube management Preferred: - ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic) - Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) – not expected in this role Community Details Location: Orange County, CA – highly desirable Southern California community with excellent lifestyle options
