Job description
AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is looking for a dynamic Gastroenterologist to be part of our team consisting of four experienced physicians at our Deland location. This employment opportunity is for a Gastroenterologist with a primary interest in an outpatient setting. Physician would have responsibility at AdventHealth Deland to cover clinic and inpatient GI consults from the floor and emergency department. Candidate would also perform procedures in the outpatient surgery center and hospital setting and should practice all aspects of Gastroenterology. Candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a desire to build and foster collegial relationships with community based physicians. Our gastroenterology network is aligned with our Digestive Health Institute providing multidisciplinary care to patients across the spectrum of digestive disease. Active Florida license is a plus.

• Demonstrate excellent communication skills
• Team player with patient-first mindset
• Eligibility for active Florida license
A strong emphasis will be placed on evidence-based medicine with a concentration on patient centered care. The new physician should have the desire to join a busy practice and fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth. ERCP and EUS capable, but not required.
Board Certification in Gastroenterology (ABMS or AOA) is required.
