Facility is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief of Gastroenterology to lead a transformative GI program serving Atlantic, Ocean, and Cape May Counties in New Jersey. This is a high-impact leadership position open exclusively to board-certified physicians in Gastroenterology (not APPs), offering the chance to shape clinical care, education, and research.

Job Responsibilities

- Program Development: Design, build, and lead a cutting-edge GI division focused on innovation and excellence.
- Academic Leadership: Establish a dynamic academic environment emphasizing research, education, and advanced clinical care.
- Clinical Expansion: Develop and grow advanced GI services including complex endoscopic procedures and comprehensive inpatient/outpatient care.
- Team Building: Recruit, train, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of GI hospitalists, faculty, fellows, and support staff.
- Clinical Expertise: Serve as a hands-on leader managing complex GI cases and providing expert consultation.
- Mentorship & Culture: Foster workforce development through mentoring, training, and culture-building initiatives.
- Community Engagement: Improve access and reduce disparities by engaging underserved populations.

Qualifications

- Board Certification in Gastroenterology
- Active and unrestricted NJ medical license (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid BLS, ACLS, DEA, and CSR/CDS certifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Prior leadership experience (Chief, Medical Director, or program startup)
- Compliance with COVID and Flu vaccination requirements
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency

Working Hours

Full-time, days — 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
