Employed Outpatient Gastroenterologist | Phoenix, AZ (West Valley)
Job at a glance
Job description
Rare Opportunity to Help Rebuild & Grow GI Access in One of Phoenix’s Fastest-Growing Communities
Some jobs are about filling a role.
Others are about filling a community need and building something that truly matters.
Tenet Healthcare, in partnership with Abrazo Medical Group, is seeking a Board Eligible / Board Certified Gastroenterologist to support the rebuild and growth of GI services in Phoenix’s rapidly expanding West Valley.
This is an opportunity in a high-demand market , ideal for a physician who enjoys being foundational, values autonomy, and wants to make an immediate, meaningful impact with strong organizational support behind them.
This role is supported by Tenet’s employed infrastructure, established referral channels, and an experienced GI sister clinic, you’re building access, not starting from scratch.
Fast Facts (Quick Snapshot)
- 100% Outpatient Gastroenterology
- Full-time employed opportunity
- Balanced weekly structure: 2 clinic days + 2–3 procedure days
- Procedures supported via:
- Nearby Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
- Abrazo West Campus hospital resources for procedural needs
- High unmet demand with immediate referral volume
- Strong referral demand already in place — step into a schedule quickly
- Practice call only (phone-based; no in-house / no hospital call)
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
This is not a “walk into a full practice” situation — and that’s exactly what makes it special.
You’ll have the opportunity to step into a practice that is being actively rebuilt, with:
- Significant referral demand
- A highly desirable and growing patient population
- A schedule designed around both clinic and procedures
- Support from an established GI team at a sister clinic
If you’ve ever wanted the chance to help shape the future of GI access — without needing to build everything alone — this is it.
You Won’t Be Alone — Built-In Collaboration & Support
While the West Valley clinic is in rebuild mode, providers will have support through an established sister GI clinic in Gilbert, including:
- 4 physicians
- 5 APPs
This means proven operations, clinical collaboration, and a strong GI network backing the growth of this West Valley practice.
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Endoscopy trained
- Arizona license (or ability to obtain)
- Advanced procedures are welcome, but not required
Why Phoenix (West Valley)
Phoenix continues to be one of the most in-demand places to live and practice — and the West Valley is booming.
Enjoy:
- Year-round sunshine
- Family-friendly communities and excellent neighborhoods
- Expansive outdoor lifestyle: hiking, biking, golf, and weekend escapes
- Growing healthcare infrastructure and strong regional demand
The Bottom Line
This is a rare chance to join an employed team environment with the support of a larger network, while also stepping into a high-impact rebuild opportunity where your work will matter immediately.
