Job description
• Coverage needed per month: 7 days per month to include weekends, take day and night call
• Schedule Details: Call will either start 7am Monday through 7am following Monday, or 7am Friday through 7am following Friday (unless otherwise stated). Providers are typically onsite for 8 hours per day from 8a-5p on Monday-Thursday, and 8a-12p on Fridays (clinic).
• Mon-Thurs 7:30a-3:30p is when procedures are done
• Fridays 7:30a-1p is when procedures are done
• Provider will be rotated between hospital, ambulatory center, and office.
Work Details:
• Support staff: Medical Director, Office Supervisor, LPNs, MOA’s, Surgery Schedulers
• Department Description: Gastroenterology, rounding on inpatients, completing consults, scoping both inpatient and outpatient, see office patients, follow up care with patients after results. No ERCP or EUS required.
• Patient Volume: varies
• Patient Age Group: 18+
• EMR/Documentation System: EPIC
• Endo Documentation: Lumens (EPIC)
Requirements:
• Board Certifications Req’d: BC Gastroenterology
• State License(s) / IMLC Req’d?: PA required
• Certifications Req’d?: BLS, ACLS
• CSR Req’d?: No
• DEA Req’d?: Yes, PA
• Additional requirements/details to screen for?: Pennsylvania state police criminal record check, child abuse clearance and a FBI criminal history check required.
Privileging Timeframe: 60-90 days
