Job Description:
This is a high-impact LEADERSHIP POSTION open only to physicians, NOT APPs, specializing in Gastroenterology. As Chief of Gastroenterology, you will:
- Design, build, and lead a cutting-edge GI program aligned with Vision 2030 goals
- Create a dynamic, academic GI division emphasizing research, education, and advanced clinical care
- Develop and expand advanced GI services including complex endoscopic procedures, inpatient and outpatient GI care
- Recruit, train, and inspire a multidisciplinary team including GI hospitalists, faculty, fellows, and support staff
- Serve as a hands-on clinical leader, providing expert consultation and management of complex GI cases
- Drive collaboration across specialties, especially in cancer care, leveraging strategic partnerships with University and The Clinic
- Ensure consistent endoscopic block time and manage robust referral volumes from day one

- Enhance access and reduce disparities by engaging with underserved communities
- This is a high-impact leadership position where the successful candidate will shape GI care delivery and education for Atlantic, Ocean, and Cape May Counties in New Jersey.
Requirements:
- Board Certification in Gastroenterology - REQUIRED
- Active and unrestricted NJ state medical license (or willing to obtain before start) - REQUIRED
- Valid BLS (or willing to obtain before start) -- REQUIRED
- Valid ACLS (or willing to obtain before start) -- REQUIRED
- DEA (or willing to obtain before start) - REQUIRED
- CSR/CDS certifications (or willing to obtain before start) - REQUIRED
- Malpractice history disclosure - REQUIRED
- Documentation of malpractice history (history accepted with limitations) - REQUIRED
- Proof of COVID and Flu vaccination compliance - REQUIRED
