Job description
We are seeking a board-certified Gastroenterologist to provide locum tenens inpatient call coverage at a 300-bed hospital in Arizona. This role is call-only, with 24-hour shifts, and requires advanced GI procedural skills. Providers will work with strong support staff and use Cerner EMR.
Job Responsibilities
Perform advanced procedures including:
Upper GI Endoscopy
Small Bowel Biopsy
Lower GI Endoscopy
Sigmoidoscopy
Colonoscopy
Manage 10–20 patients per shift.
Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure quality patient care.
Document all care in Cerner EMR.
Qualifications
Fellowship: Completed Gastroenterology fellowship (required)
License: Active Arizona medical license (required)
DEA Registration: Required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS
Experience working in an inpatient setting
