You'll play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and managing both inpatient and outpatient needs for patients with GI conditions. This full-time position includes flexible scheduling options, encompassing 24-hour call coverage, clinic hours, or a combination of both to best fit your expertise and availability.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive gastroenterological care, including procedures such as upper and lower GI endoscopy and ERCP.
  • Manage inpatient and outpatient consultations.
  • Collaborate with hospital staff to maintain continuity of care.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
  • BLS certification required
  • Experience in internal medicine with specialty skills in Gastroenterology

Working Hours

  • Flexible scheduling with options for 24-hour call, clinic hours, or a combination
  • Must be willing to cover both hospitals while on call

Skills

  • Proficient in GI procedures including upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and ERCP
  • Ability to perform esophageal dilatation/manometry and interpret esophageal manometry
  • Preferred skills in endoscopic ultrasound and liver biopsy
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with a diverse patient population
